Building Enclosure Design & Inspection (BEDIC) has staff architects who can support builders and developers with design and waterproofing detail documents of rehabilitation and repair work on building enclosures.  In addition to designing weatherproofing details, the architects can work with homeowners and associations to design enhancements and modernization of properties during rehabilitation or repair, adding curb-appeal and value to the property.

When BEDIC is hired as a third-party inspector on new construction, our architects can work closely with builders and developers to ensure that the weatherproofing design elements and modifications meet the codes and industry standards, protecting the builders and developers from future liabilities.

Using our in-house architects has two distinctive advantages: 1) timeliness of producing design elements, and 2) cost-savings.  Working closely with our professional staff during repairs and rehabilitation of buildings, we can manage and specify the design requirements, ensuring that the specific details required are produced without artistic interpretations and costly add-ons that were not contemplated in the scope of repair or rehabilitation.  (Freelance architects tend to add expensive enhancements that may not be appropriate both from cost and practicality perspectives.)  Of course, if the situation warrants it, our architectural team can design modernized and upgraded building elements to add curb-appeal to the property.
